Why Use a Registry Cleaner?

Most people take for granted the registry of their Windows-based computers. Little do they know that the efficiency of their machines rely on it.

Have you ever experienced that while you are working on your PC that it started to slow down to a level that it’s almost unbearable? Worst, have your computer freezed? These are the two symptoms that you would often encounter when your PC’s registry is far from being healthy.

So what is a PC’s registry? Just think of it as a large database wherein all of your actions, or processes, that you do on your computer are dutifully recorded. For example, whenever you watch a video, play music, launch a web page, type a Word document and many more, all of these consumer system resources and leave digital footprints on your computer that are recorded in the registry. It’s sort of that your computer memorizes your actions to help it run smoothly.

However not everything will work perfectly all of the time. This is especially true if you have been using your computer on a daily basis, the registry will will become too loaded that it will eventually cause your PC to slow down.

Another thing is that your registry records the files that you use and seldom use. Some you no longer use at all. This is what happens whenever you install or uninstall a computer program. Sometimes when you uninstall a software, not all of the files are deleted and will remain in your system unnoticed, but still recorded in the registry. Worst, if these files, even those that are currently being used, gets corrupted. These will create havoc on your computer which might lead to occasional crashes.

For these reasons the best way for you to maintain the registry of your PC is to use a registry cleanup software. It cleans your registry of unwanted files and shuts down processes that are not vital for your daily computer use. Some registry cleaners also include an automatic back up feature. What this does is that it saves a working setting of your registry before the registry cleaner does its job. This way, should anything go wrong you can always go back to a previous setting.
