Why Classrooms Get Smaller?

It is surprising how Big Classrooms get smaller by the time you are out of School, College and into some kind of job. Big school walls and gates become smaller and the desks shrink in size! What is happening?

Small Child, Big Classrooms:

As a Tiny Tot the school desks appear big, the blackboards huge and the Class Teachers loom over like huge Giants! Schooling is a time for good times, bad times, friends, bullies, text books, picture books, games, festivals et al,  and the years roll by and suddenly you are out of school.  Then college, professional courses, some training and then latching on to some kind of job. The Big Old Classrooms nestle in old memories till you happen to re-visit  school or college for an Alumni meet or some such happening.

Big View, Small Scenes:

Chances are such that you will be shocked out of your wits to see that your old school has actually become smaller with equally small gates, walls, desks and furniture. What ever happened to your old sprawling school with all things enormous? Well, not anymore though. Now you, the ex-student, have become bigger with a bigger outlook, mature body and adult mind. Yeah, after having seen the Big World from an adult perspective, your old classrooms are bound to become small– reduced to the size of a Liliput! This phenomena still remains unexplained as to how an Adult Mind makes your old adolescent mind’s Big School and related memorabilia into minute shadows of the past.

Conclusion:

Growing up into adulthood is really a wonderful experience but how our changed worldly outlook changes big old memories stamped inside,  into small forgettable items is quite a mystery. Does our mind grow oversize with the passage of time that it simultaneously shrinks the size of our Big Classrooms into miniature toys? Readers may like to ponder over this Mind Game and let their imaginations run wild.

Sure sent me back in time. Ah, the memories.
