This lesson you will learn how to plot weather charts.

This lesson is all about the above information so make sure to keep it close by as you complete the rest of the lesson.

This first chart is 300MB and usuing your guide from above. You would draw lines to match the equal heights.
If you can copy this image and put it into Microsoft Powerpoint you would get the most out of this.

Now you are looking at the 500mb height chart. Do the same thing usuing your directions from the first image to complete the 500mb chart. Once again if you can print this or put it into powerpoint you would have fun plotting this chart.

Now looking at the Surface Chart. Same thing here follow the instructions from above and if you can print this out or put it into powerpoint it would work better for you to learn.

Now this is Chart #2 for the 300mb level the reason we plot to of each level is so that we can see what is happening in the atmosphere. This allows us to get a better understanding of weather patterns. Once again if you can print this or put the image in Powerpoint you will get the most out of it.

Here is the 2nd 500mb level chart. Once again if you can print this out or put it into powerpoint you would beable to see how things are moving on these charts.

Here is the last surface chart, this will allow you to see from the upper levels to the surface what is happening with the weather on this day.
Also of note, now we as meteorologist have computers that do all of this for us. However if you were stuck somewhere that didn’t have good internet connection than it’s important to know how to plot these charts.
Enjoy the weather!!
