Great software advice to film your screen.
If you have ever wanted to make a tutorial on a program or game or maybe wanted to film a Youtube video onto your computer without downloading it then this is a great way to do it. Follow my advice on programs to use to get the best software.
The best and easiest way to record you desktop without a camera is by using CamStudio. This program is completely free to download the full version. There is nothing dodgy about it and there is just one small window to get used to. To download this software click on this link:
Once you get to this page scroll down until you find the “So where can I get it and how much does it cost?” section and click on the link that says camstudio–.exe . Confirm the download and there you go. You can look at tutorials if you need but it is very simple to understand and its likely that you can work it out just by playing with it for a bit. As you can see this interface is very simple. The start, pause and stop button are the main features. One button to the right of the stop button is the ‘ toggle view ‘ button. This will change the view of the window to large (as seen), smaller or smallest. The button to the right of that is the ‘ screen annotations ‘ button. this will allow you to put titles onto you screen. The last button (farthest to the right) is the format to which you are recording. There is only two options for this. AVI that you would like. If you click on options you can change the quality of the video or to option to use a microphone. The rest of the buttons can be replace with the bigger buttons just below them. After you have recorded something, after stopping it a new window named ‘ Save AVI/SWF File ‘ will come up. save your file if you want to keep it. Otherwise just press cancel and the video will be deleted.
After you have saved it, another window will come up. This lets you review the video you have just recorded by playing it back to you. You can rewind, fast forward, pause, and stop the video at any time.
