Ever experienced a situation where you try shutting down your PC and it keeps so long than you expect it to? Well, a new tweak I discovered has an alternative for you. Simply try, it is great!
1. Turn on your PC and allow it to startup completely
2. While on the desktop, Launch the Windows Task Manager
a. To launch Windows Task Manager, Press and hold the Ctrl, Alt and Del keys together on your keyboard.
3. Click the Shutdown Menu
A pop up menu appears with operational options such as Stand by, Hibernate, Turn off, Restart, Log off and Switch user
4. Press and hold the Ctrl key on your keyboard and click the option or operation you would like to perform
5. Hold the Ctrl key till your screen go off or blank
6. Bingo! It is done.
NB: This has been tested and tried with Windows XP and it worked perfectly.
Please try it and tell me how it worked on your PC. Probably on a different Operating System.
