There are a few simple tips for making your life easier with Microsoft Word.
- Ctrl + Z undoes the last few keystrokes or commands you’ve entered. I pressed it 50 times while writing this article and it was still undoing what I had just done. I pressed Ctrl + Y fifty times to restore my text. Before I did either I followed Word Tip #2.
- Save a document before making formatting changes. Save early, save often, but save nonetheless. It certainly can’t hurt. You can’t save your document too much.
- If you want to enlarge your text while typing, press Ctrl + roll of the mouse button. You can also do this in Internet Explorer or Firefox. If the text is too small, adjust it that way instead of clicking “Zoom In.”
- Press F4 to repeat an action. Want to highlight text but don’t want the hassle of going up to the Toolbar and selecting a highlighter. You do that one time and then you can click F4 to repeat the action.
