To make a smiley in MS Paint, you will want to click Image>Attributes… and change Width to 24 and Height to 20.

Click OK.

Now zoom in 8X, select the pencil and draw this:

To make this circle, use the rule: 5 pixels, 2 pixels, 1 pixel, 1 pixel, 2 pixels, and repeat. 52112.

That picture should show you what each pixel should belong to. If you’re done with that, it’s time for the gradient.

Choose a light colour, or the face won’t show.

I will be using light blue for this.Draw this shape to the right of the face

Now, select a little(just a little) darker version of that colour.

Outline the original colour with the new darker one

Keep selecting a little darker colour and outlining the older one.

Eventually you will fill the circle and it will look something like this

Now, choose the colour black and make a face. Any face! When you’ve made your face, zoom out to X1 and this should be your result
