How to Crop a Picture

Ever wonder how to take a specific part out of a picture? Read on.

Cropping is very underlooked by people new to editing photos and screenshots. The reason why you should always crop is because first off, the picture looks stupid with white all around it, and second of all, it keeps it small, picture and file size.

Start off my opening “Paint” in the start menu then open or paste your image. Say you want an area in the middle of the picture and want the rest gone, well, start off by taking either the “Free-Form Select” tool, or the “Select” tool, they both look like shapes with dotted lines. Use the tool to grab the part of the image you want, then click it and move it into the upper-left hand corner. Then click the “Paintbrush” or “Pencil” tool. Notice that in the corners of the Paint window, blue dots appear. Well, grab the one in the bottom-right and pull it to the bottom-right corner of your selected part of the image and then release. Now, do any last touch-ups, the only thing you should see is your selected image, no excess white area. Now go to File > Save as, and save it to the location you please.

Congratulations! You now have a cropped image and is ready to be used on your favorite forum, blog, or even Triond. Please leave feedback on this article, Thank-You for reading and I hope this helped you! For more information check this helpful page.
