Tips on using flash memory.
For those of you who don’t know what Flash Memory is, this article is for you. Flash Memory is a way to move data from one machine to another without burning discs or writing data to a floppy disk. Take for instance, a USB Flash Drive is basically a hard drive on wheels. You insert your Flash Drive into your USB port, than drag your files onto it. Then when you’re at your other computer, insert once more, and the file will be on it.
You can also use flash memory cards in digital cameras, video game devices, cell phones, MP3 players, and printers. The old way of doing things, (Storing data on a disc for transport) is obsolete. Now two seconds is all it takes. There are numerous books and manuals for using Flash Memory and its affiliate devices. And lucky for us, these devices are very affordable to everyone. (A 1 gig micro SD card can be found for only five dollars with an adapter)
You can even buy an adapter for the Nintendo DS. Where you can store new games, music, movies, slideshows, and even access the internet. And when you get tired of your old songs, simply insert your new memory card into your computer and upload new ones. Or just switch out with your other memory card so you can keep all of your songs.
But keep away from pirated media. Downloading illegal files can cost you five years.
But every memory card requires a Memory Card Reader. (In English; a drive on your computer where you inset all of your weird shaped memory cards) but you can also buy USB adapter; this is a box with those same slots on it that plugs into your USB port.
Now that you know a thing about Flash Memory you should Google some good prices on a few cards. You’ll be happy with all you can do when you know how to use Flash Memory. I hope you enjoyed my article.
