This easy to understand step-by-step tutorial will teach you how to create pulsate text in Flash in just a few minutes. Result can be used in any creation from banners, ad badges or simply as website or blog decoration element.
Open new document in your favorite Flash authoring tool. Set dimensions, background color of document as you like. For frames per second (FPS) enter value 20.
Choose text tool or press T. Set text field properties as image below shows.

Enter some text inside newly created text field and then choose selection tool or V. Next, we need to turn our text into shape. Go to Modify and then Break apart or press ctrl + b. Repeat this action once more. Now we have our letters converted to shapes and we can apply shape Tween.
Select frame number 20 on main Timeline right click on it and choose Insert Keyframe. If letters are not selected select them. Go to Modify then Transform and choose Scale and rotate (or use ctrl + alt + S). Enter for Scale value 200 % and leave Rotate on zero. Press OK.
Select frame number 10 and in Properties choose Shape Tween from drop down menu. You can play with ease and blend properties if you like later to extend this tutorial.

Select frame number 40 and insert key frame. You already know how to do this. Select the text and delete it. Don’t worry, we will restore it right away. Copy text from first frame, select frame 40 again, right click on stage and choose paste in place. Finally, select frame number 30 and again in the properties choose Shape Tween.
Save your file and publish it. You are done.
