Critical Leakage in Adobe Flash Player Fixed

Adobe released a new patch for one of the most used plug-ins in the world: Adobe Flash Player.

Using a specially scripted SWF-file (Shockwave Flash) a leakage in Flash Player could be exploited by vicious hackers, enabling the hacker to take over the pc of the infected user. This malicious .SWF file could be implemented on a legit cracked webpage.

Adobe recommends any Flash Player user (and that’s nearly everyone who surfs the internet regularly) to upgrade their Flash installation. Since only a few part of Flash Player users update their installation regularly, Flash has become beloved for hackers to exploit. Previous year Flash got abused too to spread malware on a huge amount of systems.

Recent analysis by Secunia has proven that 50% of all Flash installations worldwide contain leaks. This also counts for alot of Java installations, so PLEASE update all of your installation (Flash & Java) to the newest version regularly, and if possible, enable auto-updating.
