Extracting Audio From Videos: Not as Hard as It Looks

Learn how to extract a particular piece of audio from a movie or a video, amongst other options…

Some time ago, i got a AVI file (a video format) that was about a music group i didn´t know. But the music was interesting so i thought it might would be a good idea to have it on a MP3 player or burn it into a CD. So, i thought many people would like to do the same and it isn´t as hard as it might seem.

We are going to use a program which is called “Video MP3 Extractor”.

It is a useful tool that isn´t hard to use and extracts audio from AVI, ASF, WMV and MPG. So here is my guide:

Step 1:

Go to www.geovid.com/video_mp3_extractor/ and then click on “download”. (IF u desire the direct link to the download, it is www.geovid.com/download/video-mp3-extractor.exe). Afterwards, proceed to the installation of the program. This is a simple and quick process

Open the Video MP3 Extractor. On the main window of the program you have only three options, so that it is easier to the user to succeed. Go to “Files” and click on the button “…” next to “video”. Now choose the video file from where you want to extract the music (or sound). The program automatically makes a place where it will put the final mp3 file. If you want  to choose another folder, go ahead! You only have to click on the button “…” in the MP3 section and choose a name to the file. Right below you may choose the quality of your file (”quality”) and the  BitRate of the final file. Please note that the MP3 size will vary on the previous settings. Then just click on the “Start” button.http://images.stanzapub.com/readers/2009/06/28/geovidvideompextractor_1.jpg

Step 3:

When the extraction is finished you may do whatever you want to with the sound file in the MP3 format: you may copy it to a portable reader (such as an iPod), if it isn´t too big you may use it as a phone ring (provided it is compatible with the format), burn into a Cd, etc…

Step 4:

I would like to add two suggestions: If you want to change the file (cutting something uninteresting, eliminating noise, increase or decrease sound, etc.) you may use one of the best programs i know, the Audacity, that you can find in http://audacity.sourceforge.net

If it is a show, for instance, and you want to burn it into a music Cd, you may do it from your burning CD´s and DVD´s program, like Nero, which automatically makes the conversion

I hope it was useful.
