Anyone out there knows its best to always back up a cd that you own, I have done one for every game that I own, I haven’t always and I learnt why it’s important the hard way.

I once bought shenmue 1 for the dreamcast I left it on the side like an idiot and some one, never found out who, knocked a drink all over the cd (well GD) and it no longer worked I had to go out and buy the game again.

I decided from that day on any game I bought I would have a back up stored safe away just in case.

So say you have a CDI image of a dreamcast game you are backing up, you will need the following tools BINHACK, IPEXPLCD, BRB_GAME.EXE, DISCJUGGLER 3 and a CDR.

To find the tools use google or http://forums.ngemu.com/attachments/chankast-forum/71234-chankast-emulating-doa2-le-1087097712_fastboot.rar?d=1087126275 this link will open up FASTBOOT which has BINHACK and BRB_GAME.EXE.

Now for IPEXPLCD use google or http://rapidshare.de/files/29866276/IPCDExpl.exe.html this will let you download the tool.

For the first section you will need to patch the game to run on self boot to do this follow this guide here http://www.quazen.com/Computers/Emulators/Patching-any-dreamcast-game-to-run-in-chankast.727 then continue with this guide.

Right now you have disc juggler 3 we can begin, open up the software and you should be greeted with something like this.

If you do see something like this click the button where the arrow points, it’s a blank paper sheet, if you don’t see this screen and see this one.

With the image above behind it you don’t need to click anything, I have highlighted the option that you will need to use, scroll down and find it please once you click on it click okay for the next screen.

We now have this screen to deal with; first click the cd image on a blank piece of paper, where the top arrow points too. When the folder browser opens locate your CDI image of the game and click okay.

The middle arrow points to the write speed please do not move it over 4X I use 1X as it is the safest way to emulate a dreamcast game I would recommend that you do the same.

The bottom arrow points too the start button click this once you have done all the top settings and let it write to disc, it will eject the disc once its all done.
