A simple and easy to follow guide on how to compress a folder in winrar
Have you downloaded winrar? If not I recommend you do so from here rarlab.com it’s a brilliant packing and unpacking software that will compress smaller then a zip and more likely to stay stable.
Once you have winrar let’s compress a file, first select the folder you wish to compress right click and then choose add to archive like the image below,
Once you have selected this option the software will open and you’re ready to begin look at the image below,
The archive name will be the folder you wish to compress I recommend that you leave it as it is named, then make sure you have the format set to RAR and not zip, and then on compression method choose best to make it even smaller.
Once you have done this click okay and choose the place you wish to save the folder too. That is all you must do hope this helped.
