Jqs.exe (Java Quick Starter) – Windows Process

jqs.exe or rather Java Quick Starter was designed to increase startup time of Java applications. The process is activated automatically when installing Java. This process is important and useful only for users (or rather the developers) that hit Java applets and applications every day. If Java applications use frequently makes no sense to keep this active process, consider that you meet a Java application or applet once a month. It is therefore recommended to disable this process.

Disabling Java Quick Starter process may be running in the Windows Control Panel -> Javawhich will initiate the Java Control Panel -> click on the tab Advanced -> click onMiscellaneous and find Java Quick Starter. To disable it uncheck the box (see photo above).Jqs.exe process can be reactivated at any time.
