Speed up Windows boot time.
Another article about speed up your computer.
If your computer is slow to load the Window then here’s a trick how can speed up your computer’s boot time.
To speed up the boot time, a freeware is available which is made by Microsoft called Bootvis. It’s a small 967 KB download that can make your computer’s boot time faster. If you are using Windows XP then this is the tool to provide faster system boot. First you need to download Bootvis. After downloading the tool, follow the step by step tips to complete the procedure.
- Now that you’ve downloaded the software, run the file and install it.
- In your start menu you can find the installed software, Bootvis. Click on Bootvis, under Microsoft Bootvis in your start menu or program files.
- Bootvis window will now open.

- Now, click on the Trace menu & then click on Next Boot + Driver Delays.
- A pop up window (Trace Repetitions) will appear. It asks for the number of repetitions. Leave it to default value. Click OK, but remember save anything you are working on. Because once you click OK, the system will prompt to reboot.

- After the system is rebooted, leave the system for few minutes. As Bootvis loads the detailed graphs of the trace. Once it’s done with that a Bootvis a graph window will pop up.
- Next, you have to click on Optimize System, which is again come under Trace menu. Bootvis will now once again reboot the computer.
- Once the system is rebooted, Bootvis starts optimizing the system boot performance.
- Do not interrupt and allow it to finish the task.
That’s it! Now you can check your system’s boot up speed and now it should boot up faster than before.
Note: In some cases it can show some errors. Read properly about the tool before you download.

nice share well done
informative article…nice share
Hmm…I’ve tried Bootvis many years ago on an XP computer, and while it traces the startup events with timestamps, I’ve never seen it actually optimize the system to any useful extent.
But a program that actually cuts boot-times drastically would be very welcome. I know, back when I had Vista 32 bit on my laptop, it would take 2-3 minutes to bootup from a cold restart. I would have loved to have something like this
