One of my favorite inventions.
The computer is one of the inventions that I admire the most. Using it, people can access tons of information, chat with friends, go online, play games, and watch movies. It can also be used to make life easier, especially for people like writers, teachers, businessmen/women and even designers.
A computer is a machine that manipulates data according to a list of instructions. Almost each and every part of a modern day computer had its individual inventor. For example, Jack Kilby and Robert Noycex invented the integrated circuit in 1958. The first computer wasn’t like the Apple Macintosh or the Windows Vista. The first operational computer was about the size of a classroom! This computer was called the ENIAC. It weighed thirty short tons, took up 1800 square feet and contained 17,468 vacuum tubes. Think about that compared to a modern day twelve by twelve inch laptop, “big difference” right?
