How to Find Out What Process a Program Uses

Finding out what process a program uses is pretty useful for purposes like disabling startup programs or ending unresponsive programs

So, here’s four steps to find out what process a program is using.

1. Open the program.

Here you can see that wordpad is selected as a program. There are lots of programs you can select anythine, any one program of them.

2. Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del).

    For windows 2000 or xp it will directly open the task manager.

    For windows 7 home or ultimate one window will appears and from all option you have to choose task manager.

3. Right click on the program and click go to proces.

    This way you can check out the running processes for the current program.

4. You’ll arrive on the processes tab with the process highlighted.

    here we have choosen wordpad. So process for the wordpad will arrive. Its depends on the software. All processes are in the .exe form.
