The Concept Behind Mac Osx

The basic concept behind Mac OSX, the concept that changed in hugely from OS9 and Windows…

The basic concept behind Mac OSX is a simple, user friendly, fast, clean operating system that comes with everything you need.  It is certainly different from Windows, and also very different from OS9.  OS9 is a built up version of System 1.  Since System 1, the same system has been built on, and never completely torn down and remade.  Until Mac OSX…

Apple wasn’t sure how OSX was going to work out, because the OS was drastically different from OS9.  So they released a BETA called OSX BETA.  OSX BETA had many of the features OSX has today, except for some stuff like the dashboard and expose.  But the concept and the base was there, and that’s what all the other versions of OSX were built off.

Though because OSX was so different, there were quite a few people who wouldn’t accept OSX as their main OS, and stayed with OS9.  And some people are still with OS9!

And OSX has remained simple, stable, user friendly, fast and clean through all the versions…  Thanks for reading!
