For those first time Mac (Apple) users.
Is your PC getting awfully slow? Well mine was, so I went to Future Shop and looked around. Nothing in particular jumped out, except for the all new Mac-book Pro, which is unbelievably expensive. After 2 week of studying reviews, I bought it. It was very simple to set up, and superbly fast.
Finder: Its like the “My Computer” for a Mac, clean and effective. Unlike the PC it doesn’t take forever trying to find a document, everything is simple and fast.
Dashboard: You widget lovers are ganna LOVE the dashboard, download free widgets from www.apple.com. From tools to games, weather to stock its everything you need!
Mail: This app makes it simple to open, send and organize all your mail, it works very well with IWork (sending documents thru email made easy)
Safari: Although not the fastest or safest browser it has very cool features such as top sites. Top sites remember the sites you visit most often and puts them on a simple page showing the name of the site and a picture. ( Download Firefox, very fast and safe)
Preview: You can Preview photos and PDFs from this app, although you can’t edit it. Its a good idea to download Adobe Reader 9.
IMovie: This app is amazing if you like making movies, everything you could ever want right at your finger tips!
Now there are two different companies you can get your document makers from, Apple(IWork) or Microsoft(Office). they are both very good BUT for some reason i prefer the Apple version.
