Toshiba satellite C655D-S5515 is latest laptop from Toshiba. Though it is available at very cheap price of $300 approx but one can’t expect that it can be used for performing demanding task. However, it can be used for regular computing like processing word, excel and browsing web.
The main reason behind it is Toshiba C655D-S5515 comes with AMD E-300 Accelerated processor which works at very slow clock speed of 1.3 GHz and it comes with only 2GB memory. However, the graphics which comes with the APU, AMD Radeon HD 6310, has full support for DirectX 11 but due to slow clock speed of processor it is unable to show its full performance. Thus you can’t play DirectX 11 supported game.
Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5515 is perfect for basic tasks only. The 2GB memory doesn’t support multitasking much as a largest part of memory will be used by operating system itself. However memory can be upgradable up to 8GB. The screen is of 15.6” when measures diagonally.
Though Satellite C655D-S5515 falls under cheap laptop but it offers webcam, 802.11 b/g/n wi-fi connectivity and Fast Ethernet. There is no HDMI port.
The battery life of Toshiba C655D-S5515 claimed to be more than 5 hours.
