How to Make Your Windows Xp Genuine for Free!

Lots of you have encountered that dreadful Genuine XP notification. It takes your background away and doesn’t allow you to download some programs like Windows Media player. Heres how to get rid of it for good!

Disclaimer: This only works for Windows XP, Service Pack 2-3.

The infamous “Genuine Microsoft Software” notification, here is a step-by-step guide on how to get rid of it.

Step one: Click on the Start menu. Choose “Run”.

Step two: When the Run box opens up, type “regedit” then click “OK”

Step three: Find your way from the left menus to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then SOFTWARE, then MICROSOFT, then Windows NT, then CurrentVersion, then WPAEvents, and choose OOBETimer from the list on the right.

Step four: Double Click on OOBETimer, then when the popup appears, change the “00″ to “ff”. You actually only need to type in the “f” once after highlighting “00″ then they both change simultaneously. Next click on OK. Close the Registry Editor.

Step five: Open “Run” again then type in “%systemroot%system32oobemsoobe.exe /a” without the quotes, then click OK.

Step six: When the activation screen appears, choose “Register Over Telephone” (don’t write anything on this slide), then “Change Product Key”.

Step seven: Enter this code in the fields that are shown: JG28K-H9Q7X-BH6W4-3PDCQ-6XBFJ

Step eight: Accept, and enjoy all the features that Genuine Microsoft has to offer!

I hope you liked my guide and please remember, if you learned anything new from this article then click on that “I Like It” button. Good luck!

When you click on “OOBETimer”, a window appears. Spot the “00″ in there then click on it, highlighting it. Click on the “f” key on your keyboard. You will see 2 f’s instead of one. Then click on and move on. I can’t see your e-mail address in the previous post. If you still need help, retype it in another comment.

You open up Run. In the box that is there, you type in “%systemroot%system32oobemsoobe.exe /a” (without the quotation marks) and click Ok. Then the screen pops up etc and so on.

Quotation marks are these “”. I am sure of it, I tried it on my PC and it worked. If it’s incorrect, check another website. Maybe that will clear things up. Thank you.
