How to Bring Back The Start Menu in Windows Eight

Since Windows 95, Microsoft has included the famous ’start’ menu in all its versions of Windows. But now, Microsoft has decided to kill it. In fact, Microsoft wants us to use only the new metro-styled Home screen, with colored tiles.

But if you try Windows 8, you’ll somewhat feel the lack of this menu. So, in this article, we’ll see how to bring back the start menu in Windows 8.

Since the start menu is not anymore a built-in feature of Windows 8, you’ll have to install a freeware : ViStart.

ViStart was created in the first place to replace Windows XP start menu with Vista’s or Windows 7’s. However, this little useful piece of software works perfectly with Windows 8.

Then, run it to install the start menu.
