This guide details how to install Mac OSX onto your vista PC, without messing up your vista installation.
Make the Install DVD
You will need:
- An External Hard Drive
- A DVD R Drive
- “Utorrent” http://utorrent.com/
- “Active ISO Burner” http://www.ntfs.com/iso-burning.htm
Instructions
- BACK UP YOUR ENTIRE HARD DRIVE!! This is very important!
- Download and install Utorrent, or another torrent application.
- Search Google for Kalyway torrent.
- Click a result, then check the comments to see if it is a virus.
- Click download.
- Open the .torrent file with your torrent application (Utorrent).
- It will take a while to download, so be patient.
- If you have not done so yet, download and install “Active ISO Burner”.
- Put a blank DVD in your optical drive.
- Open “Active ISO Burner”.
- Click the button that says “…” on it.
- Navigate to the Kalyway ISO file, and click OK.
- I recommend selecting 1x as the burn speed.
- Click “BURN ISO!”
- Wait for it to finish burning (about 15 min).
Install
You will need:
- a computer with a partitioned hard drive
Instructions:
- Put your Kalyway disc into your optical drive, and reboot your computer.
- A message will say something about Darwin x86.
- Wait for it to load (5-10 min).
- Select your language and click the blue arrow.
- Click next.
- Click the mac partition.
- Click next.
- Click customize.
- Read the description of each item, and then decide weather or not you need to install it. I recommend experimenting with different options until you can get it to work.
- Click ok.
- Click install.
- Let it install (20-30 min).
- Click restart.
- Mac OSX leopard should start up and guide you through the process of setting up your installation.
