Well to start Laptops and Desktops are both similarto each other. They both have the same parts and the same capabilities. Tho which computer is better for gaming? Lets review what laptops are good for and can do first. Laptops are slim skinny computers. They are great for portability and convenience especially the new laptop minis. Laptops have good performance when you first buy them. They are fast and dependable and can go anywhere. Desktops are the same exact way the only difference is they are bigger and they aren’t portable. But what is better for gaming? Laptop or Desktop? Well to answer that question look at the bare bones of the machine you have. A laptop is small and has everything built in it ready to go so its great when you first buy it. Desktops have everything built in as well and is ready to go just as well as the Laptops. But what happens a year down the road when you buy a brand new game and your computer is 1 year old. Well the game is brand new and needs new software to run it. The laptop remember has everything built in and is only good when you first buy it. So if the laptop is a year old and the game is brand new the laptop might not be able to play the brand new game because it demands brand new things that the laptop doesn’t have inside of it. Oh I know! I can just go get the laptop upgraded right? Wrong, in some cases if your lucky the laptop can be upgradable for some things. Its RAM for instance can probably be upgraded from 2 gigs to about 4 gigs.  Well that just increases your laptops speed a bit. What about the main problem? The most problems with laptops is that the new games need brand new graphics cards. The laptop comes with a built in graphics card and it cant be upgraded. Its just the way the laptops are built. Once in a while you can find a laptop that has a card slot so you can upgrade it but that’s not very often. Laptops for gaming are only good for the first year or 2 if your lucky. If your a big gamer and get a desktop you have a lot of new advantages. First off when you need to you can upgrade the RAM, Graphics Card, Hard Drive, Disk Drive, Mother Board, and much more inside the desktop because its built with slots for everything to stick in. Laptops are built with everything built in the mother board so they can not be removed since they are apart of the mother board unless you want to damage the mother board and destroy the computer permanently. Buying the gaming desktop will be easier and last a few more years than the laptop because its upgradable for a lot of things for a long time. That doesn’t mean laptops are bad or anything it just means for gaming mostly you will want to go with a desktop so in the long run when its 2 years later your not buying a new computer just so you can run that new game that came out and wined up spending over 1,000$ more than what you needed to. Im personally a fan of laptops but thats just me speaking. Heck I even wrote this artical using my laptop and the wifire so I could get the internet into my room to submit this artical.
