How virtual memory works.
The memory used to make the activities of disk drives more meaningful and more speedy by increasing the speed of data transfer is termed as “virtual memory”. It may be compared to RAM(Random Access Memory).The activities performed by RAM is harmonious to the activities of virtual memory.
It may be physically broken off and may even flow over to the disk storage.This technique make large application programming easier.It may be done by other means such as exchange or overlays programmes.
Nowadays general computer use this technique for ordinary application, like- processor, spreadsheet,multimedia plays, accounting etc. Older operating system generally had no virtual memory function, like- DOS and Microsoft Windows1 1980 etc.
Today in the modern world, virtual memory is so acceptable and fruitful for which we get consistent responce.
