In the Fall Semester of 2010 there was an incoming freshman headed to WVU who had a serious problem, he hated everything about notebooks. They were heavy, constantly weighing down your backpack, they always ran out of paper at the worst moment, and worst of all, most people had to have several notebooks in a single semester. It is very likely that you will bring the wrong notebook to class and suffer the penalty. While this may seem laughable at first, it is a very grave dilemma for a college student. Without notebooks, how can one fully grasp the ideals of college and gain all of its fruits of knowledge. The laptop offers a meager alternative with the inability to draw freely and a lack of real mobility due to battery life being the main detractors from the laptop’s success.
