Cloud Computing and Data Remaining in Your Hard Disk

After sending all your files to the cloud what should you do with your hard disk files?

You might have been reading my article for quite a long time and I hope you learned a lot of things in the process. The thing I am both more excited and worried at the same time is cloud computing. Unless you have been on the Moon in the last year, you know what cloud computing is, basically is moving all your data and applications online to a place that is nowhere and everywhere and to access that data you just need a login and a password. Basically your entire life stays in a virtual place that you know nothing about the physical location which might be good for security purposes, and to access it you just need the URL, login, password and then all your life is again available to you, anywhere, everywhere.

This leaves one question in your mind: Which data should be still really inside your computer? What files and applications should still be installed in my laptop if I move everything to the cloud? This question is both simple and hard to answer. You should leave in your computer just non important files and applications. Music for example, you can have it inside the cloud or you can just have a copy in your hard disk to hear even when you have no internet access.

On the other hand if you carry sensitive documents with you, then it’s not a very wise idea to have them both in the email or cloud and with you at the same time.

Simply said; Important data goes to the cloud. Non important data can stay inside the computer.
