AMD E350 is Not Enough for Serious Gaming

AMD E350 is not enough for serious gaming.

One of the latest technology from AMD Fusion is growing in market. now, many products laptop and desktop PC equipped with AMD fusion that has been circulating in the Global market.  one of AMD’s Fusion series is pretty much used the AMD E-350, is one with a chip range AMD Fusion Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) lineup. AMD fusion suitable for use in performing everyday tasks, such as: videos, browsing, Office and games.

About AMD E-350 / Radeon HD 6310 Chip
As same as other AMD’s APU, which includes the CPU, graphics, HD video decoder, and memory controller on a single die (one package). type E-350 has a 1.6GHz clocked dual core CPU, AMD Radeon HD 6310 integrated GPU, UVD3 1080p video decoder, and support for DDR3 memory 1066. consumes 18W of power, as the same with low-end series E-240 is a single CPU core. Both E-Series with the code name “Zacate” and is designed for use in mainstream notebooks affordable, high-end netbook, and small desktop PCs. On the other hand, C-Series “Ontario” APU’s consumes 9W and built for low power netbooks, tablets, and other similar devices. “Zacate” and “Ontario” APUs AMD’s platform “Brazos” and manufactured using 40nm technology.

Test System of AMD E-350 reported from Newtechnik is as follows:
with MSI E350IA spec-E45 mini-ITX motherboards equipped with AMD E-350 / Radeon HD 6310. Value GeIL 4GB DDR3 RAM, and 3.5-inch 7,200 rpm SATA2 Seagate 1TB hard drives. The system is supported by a 350W power supply, which is sufficient for this setup. Benchmark done under Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit OS.

Web Browsing and Performance Office
Web browsing in Firefox is sharp, with no lag even when we open up a great blog site with large images, when playing 720p YouTube videos in other tabs.
there is no problem when running Microsoft Word file and some Excel documents at the same time. (File extension in the form of Doc and Xls)

Gaming Performance
bechmark games: Crysis, Far Cry 2, World in Conflict, Half Life 2, and Quake 4 on AMD E-350 / HD 6310 system, and the following is the result of frame-ratenya:
Crysis on low settings (resolution 1280 × 720) 27.5fps on average, the frame rate is less comfortable playing, and not perfectly smooth.
Far Cry 2 on low settings (1280 × 720), with an average of 24.2fps.
World in Conflict at the same time providing low resolution 24fps, can be somewhat increased if you run the game on the lowest setting available.
An old game “Half Life 2 – Lost Coast” runs very well on high setting (1280 × 720), with an average of 49.89fps.
You can even put AA and AF on max and still get 44.27fps.
Quake 4, can be played entirely with the smooth on high settings at 1280 × 720 45.85fps average, as well as on Ultra High with a small reduction in frame rate to 43.42 fps.

1080p, 720p HD Video Playback
The system is capable of playing full HD without any gap (1080p) and 720p video playback. A Transformers Movie Trailer via YouTube played well in the resolution of 1080p and 720p. CPU resources are consumed between 29% and 37%.
When played in Windows Media Player, “the Coral Reef Adventure” full HD cause about 10-15% in CPU load, while the 720p version is between about 8 and 13%. In both cases the video playback is really smooth.

Benchmark results of AMD’s E-350 / Radeon HD 6310
Windows 7 Experience Index: good graphics and RAM, but CPU performance is rather weak.
PCMark Vantage score of 2736 points.
3DMark06 score of 2246 points at default settings.
3DMark Vantage score of 3795 points value

Conclusion
E-350 AMD-powered laptops and desktops will perform computing tasks you everyday, such as Web surfing, e-mail, and edit documents, without a glitch. You will not need a more powerful system only those things. On the other hand, the performance of the Radeon 6310 graphics are the best in its class (integrated), but do not expect the speed of a video card is low or mid-range special.
Finally, if your main goal is to use this platform for HD multimedia, you will not be disappointed, because it provides smooth playback even in Full HD and extras all or nearly all AMD Fusion systems have HDMI output.
But surely the best part of the price. E-350 based netbook priced starting at $ 300, full size laptop and All-in-one desktop starting at about $ 350, and desktop motherboards with integrated APU costs about $ 120.

Additional review:
Is the ATI Radeon HD 6310 is a video card (VGA) is strong and tough?
ATI Radeon HD 6310 is able to handle graphics with DirectX 11 gaming and HD 1080p video playback. someone who will buy a laptop into the VGA want to know whether one will make him able to play games like World of Warcraft or Team Fortress 2 with good FPS
This is because the graphics hardware support for HD video is great but only good enough for casual gaming. for a more serious game requires a graphics card “Dedicated” such as for example Radeon HD 6470M.
Test Game for VGA Radeon HD6310 as quoted from Yahoo Answers:

You are stupid!

HA HA HA!!!! What if I told you I got all those games to run on an e350 around 30 frames per sec. Just optimize the settings to the system. Far Cry 2 was a the easiest to optimize.
