First, there were video tapes. Then came DVDs. After that, HD-DVD came into the scene. For some time, HD-DVD has been king of all DVDs. But now, one of it’s biggest rivals have come out: Blu-Ray Disc. S, the question here is: Which DVD will dominate sales? HD or Blu-Ray? People think that just because that Blu-Ray is newer and it has a cooler name means its better. NO! People need to stop having this mind of thinking! I have a friend who has a Blu-Ray player, and it looks just like HD, just a tiny bit better.

I have heard that Blu-Ray DVD players are soon going to dominate other DVD players, so you will be forced to buy a Blu-Ray disc player. If you are going to buy one, just buy a PS3! If you already have one, you are good to go! Plus, if you already have one, don’t waste you money on one!

Still, even though Blu-Ray has come out, HD DVDs are selling one hundred times better than them. It even seems that Microsoft doesn’t want Blu-Ray to sell. They came out with the HD DVD player for the Xbox360. Then, perhaps in an effort to blunt Blu-Ray’s sales, they lowered the price to $179.Sony, however, it seems like they want Blu-Ray to sell more! Their PS3 comes Blu-Ray equipped, to influence you to buy Blu-Ray. At this point I am happy for Microsoft because if Blu-Ray dominates, I will be disappointed, because it is just like HD DVD. At this point, I am happy for what Microsoft is doing, even though I don’t like them as much a Sony. For now though, we’ll just have to wait and see who wins. HD or Blu-Ray.
