A Few Ways to Fix “Stuck” Pixels on a Monitor

Several methods to fix “stuck pixels”.

A “stuck” pixel is a pixel on your screen that does not respond to changes and stays one color, these colors could be red, green, blue or a combination of all of them. A stuck pixel is a lot more noticeablethan a dead pixel which is very difficult if not impossible to fix on your own. There are a few simple and efficient ways of getting rid of these, the most efficient way of fixing these is to:

  • Turn off your monitor
  • Take the eraser of a pencil and firmly press down on the stuck pixel
  • while still applying pressure turn on your monitor then stop pushing with the pencil

If the pixel does not respond to this method try running a “burn-in” corrector for a 6-24 hours http://www.jscreenfix.com/

Finally if none of these methods work than try calling the store you bought the product from.
