A friend of mine recently sent me an email regarding faulty laptop battery packs for HP Pavilian Notebooks. I myself have a HP Pavilon Notebook, and really took note of this article.
According to the Yahoo7 News Report, some of the Laptops affected are the dv2000, dv2500, dv2700, dv6000, dv6500, dv6700, dv9000, dv9500 and dv9700 HP notebooks.
In some cases Compaq Presario notebooks have also been affected by the faulty battery issue as HP batteries are also found in Compaq Presario notebooks.
Affected Compaq notebook modals include:
A900, C700, F700, V3000, V3500, V6000 and V6700.6720s and HP G6000 and G7000
If you have a HP or Compaq notebook with any of these modal numbers, it is recommended that you contact HP, so you can get your notebooks battery replaced, because if yiu don’t your laptop could catch alight due to the faulty battery issue.
