Using Tripwires in Valor

A brief guide on using tripwires.

Valor is an mmmorts [mobile massively multiplayer online real-time strategy] game played on iPhone and iPod touch that’s played all around the world.  This being said, you can’t go to sleep and trust your city will be there in the morning as there is a slight chance some guy [or lady] in Austrailia is waking up and wreaking havoc on your city.

You can help counter this by using tripwires. A tripwire is like an alarm that will go off whenever somebody attacks a city that you have a tripwire at.

Using a tripwire requires two things –

1. Membership to a guild with at least one other member — The more the merrier.
2. At least one of any type of unit.

It’s rather simple, Go to the Map Screen and select the city you want to put a tripwire on.  Select “Send Troops”.  Send 1 of any unit type [They all do the same thing.]  hit “Support” and confirm your support.

Ta-dah.  That simple.  Whenever somebody attacks the city you have a tripwire on, you’ll recieve a report.

Unfortunately, you won’t know right away when someone sends an attack, but when it hits, you can alert the rest of your guild and send support to make sure your ally doesn’t become your enemy’s city.
