This guide will show you how to turn your DD-WRT powered router into a Client or Wireless Bridge.
Ok, first of all, upgrade your DD-WRT router to the latest version since mine is the latest one. Second, you have to set your router to its factory defaults. To do that, either press the reset button on the router for 30 seconds or…
- Go to your router’s settings (192.168.1.2 or whatever you set the router’s ip in).
- Click on Administration.
- Click on Factory Defaults
- Click “yes”
- Click Apply Settings
After that, wait for about 1 minute. Then connect to your router either wirelessly or wired. Go to your web browser and type in 192.168.1.1. If you can’t access the router, you might have to unplug and plug the router (it happens on mines).
NOTE: Do not go right ahead on setting the router to Wireless Bridge since it often doesn’t work the first try.
