A few ways to speed up your computer including a brand new way.
Ever wonder why your computeris so slow. Well in this article I will tell you how to speed up your computer. The first step is to do disk cleanup. To do this go to my computer and then right click your hard drive. Then in general tab click disk clean up follow the on screen instructions to clean up that hard drive. If you have more than one hard drive then you are going to have to do this for all of the hard drives. The second step is to defragment the disk. Defragmenting it will move all the files to one spot and speed access to data. To do this go to start then program then accessoriesthen system tools and then disk defragmenter. This may take a little bit of time. Viruses can also slow down your system so do a full computer scan. Not only can a virus slow down your computer but an anti-virus software can also slow down your computer. And one that slows down the computer a lot is any Norton anti-virus except Norton 360 3.0. I recommend either Kaspersky or Bitdefender which everyone is in your budget. If you don’t want to spend any money on an anti-virus use AVG its free and good. Now this one can really speed up your system. It is known as scan for errors. To do it go to my computers right click your hard drive and go to the tools tab. Then under error checking click check now. Now you cannot check your system with that disk in use so it will schedule a error check for the next time the computer starts so you should just restart your computer and get the error check done. This takes a very long time anywhere from 15mins to 2 hours but trust me it will speed up your computer. Now you should do registry cleanup. This will clean up your system registry. But the only way to do this is to use special software I recommend Advanced System Optimizer , but if you can’t afford it then go to the Internet and search up a free registry cleaner. Now this is a very easy process.
Now there is one more way to speed up your system by quite a lot. And that is to add more RAM but if you don’t have that kind of money, there is one thing you can do with Windows Vista, and that is called ready Boost. Now this tip I am going to give you is very, very helpful and it is that you can use certain USB flash drives to speed up your computer, but this will only work with some devices. To do this go to My Computer in Vista and right click the USB Flash drive go on the ready boost and select enable ready boost and select how much of the space you want to use (the more you use the faster your system will get). If in the ready boost tab says that this device is not compatible with ready boost then the device you have won’t work with ready boost and you need to buy a ready boost compatible USB drive. And that are a few simple ways to speed up your system.
