Social Media Stream on Flock

One button that offers so much to view and do.

As I am learning and enjoying my new social media browser I first discussed in Flock to Flock, I am discovering the features slowly but surely. I am taken aback from the features and uses of the media, and how you can use this browser to optimize this effect to the fullest.

Resting at the top of your browser is a photograph of a little projector wheel and camera in blue. Click on this button, it is called the social media stream button. A black section comes across the top of the screen as you can see in the photograph I have provided. In that black box is a button called media streams. Click on this button and choose the stream you would like to view. I will use Digg for this sample and explanation. After choosing Digg, you can choose the area you want to view. Such as technology, business, art, and lifestyle are some of the choices Digg has. Then the selection even becomes more in depth, you can chose which articles have become popular in the last 24 hrs, one week, seven days, or thirty days. In the photograph I took, I chose the most popular in 24 hours.

Once you have chosen the stream you would like to see, in that same black section will rest the articles of that choice. Then you simply place your mouse over the article and hover the cursor over the picture of the article to find out the name of it and who submitted it, how many Diggs it has received, and the comments that was left on the Digg. Once you have found the article you wish to view then simply click on that article, and the article is viewed below the black box section, which you can close to view the article in a larger format.

The Facebook stream is photographs of you or any of your friends. The bebo, Tiny pic, photobucket, and Flicker is also photograph streams to view. The Youtube and Truveo is a stream of videos. The videos also have the choice of top viewed videos, or most watched or what is called most popular from the viewers. The photographs are most recent viewed picture in the service you are choosing to view.

This is all located in two buttons, the social media button, and the media stream button.

Enjoy flock and all it has to offer.
