A review of the Pulse Smart pen when you first get it right out of the box.
The Livescribe Pulse Smartpen is a very technologically advanced piece of equipment. It first of all has software on it in which you can record audio while writing. After writing something while recording you can go back to that page and tap what was written and your pen will play the audio that was recorded at that time. Some more of the applications that come with the pen are the demo translator which can translate a select 21 words in 4 languages including spanish, arabic, swedish, and mandarin. Also included in the basic package is a piano that you can draw and play in a few different tones and play along with a few rhythms. In the Livescribe notebook there are some interactive controls like scientific and financial calculators. Cool right?
There are a few drawbacks to the Pulse Smartpen like the fact that you have to use the Livescribe dot paper to use any of the applications, so if you run out of dot paper you either have to print more which can become very costly or buy new notebooks which can be a hassle. Other then those two drawbacks the Livescribe Pulse Smartpen is a feat of the futuristic technology that we have today.
