A few good tips for a music downloads.
Generally when looking for good music, whatever genre, style, beat, melody, or rythm, there is always a difference of quality when looking into music. Music is played at kbps (Kilobytes per second) and this number can determine the quality of audio. Itunes allows users to download songs at 256(kbps) which isn’t exactly the best quality music. Once upon a time they used 128(kbps) which means you could actually hear the loss of quality audio. Another way to determine audio download quality much of the time is to take a look at the file size. Much of the time, unless the audio or music is taken off of a cd which promotes lossless audio quality (which means every aspect of the audio is original and potentially at a great if not maximum quality) the downloaded file is compressed for storage reasons for a computer. If the audio file is around 2MB (Megabytes) to 4MB then its possible the audio is at a very low quality. If the file is around 5MB to 9MB then the audio at an okay quality. If the file is around 12MB and up then the quality ranges from good to maximum quality.
Much of the time people are unable to tell the quality of audio and music unless they actually look at the file size or the kbps. Much of the time one would need to invest in a higher end music system, or headphones to really tell while listening to the actually audio if it is good quality or not. Sometimes there is a crackle in the bass and the lows of the music, the mid-range is fairly low and muffled along with the highs. However, it is extremely hard to tell audio quality by just listening with a standard pair of headphones, or music system.
The higher bit rate songs that promote higher and lossless audio quality fall in the 320kbps to 576kbps range. However, higher bit rates mean larger audio file sizes which means less music that is able to be stored on a limited device such as an mp3, ipod, or zune, however, the music quality is better.

Just remember when listening or looking to see if the music you have is high quality or low quality keep in the mind the little tips that were given in this article, especially for dj’s or music junkies looking to become professional.
