A few days ago a rumor was released that Microsoft wants to examine once again the potential acquisition of Yahoo.
In 2008 the two companies had reached close to an agreement, but last time the acquisition was never completed.
Now that Yahoo’s stock has fallen enough there are many who claim that the conditions now are very good to proceed with the acquisition.
For its part, Microsoft has split into two camps, those who are in favor of the acquisition to strengthen the company position in the market and those who do not agree with both the move of the company, as Yahoo has no growth prospects.
For now, however, nobody can say with certainty whether the acquisition will become a reality, but only by rumors, the shares of both companies seem to have strengthened the U.S. stock market.
