Defraggler
Available at http://www.defraggler.com/ , it’s one of the best free defragementers around. Let’s face it- Windows built in one is slow, and your files probably remain close to the same. Defraggler’s works, and better- it’s free!
CCleaner
For the folks that brought you Defraggler, here comes CCleaner, which clears privacy files, optimizes system performances, performs registry operations, and other operations. And from a trial run on my computer- unless your computer is in top form, I removed almost 500 MB easily. And of course, it’s free! Not bad in my opinion.
Disk Cleanup
Window’s built in Disk Cleanup can be found at Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup . Built in means it’s free and it’s way better than the built in defragmenter. Quick and easy.
These three programs- all free- will help you on speeding up your computer. You should also remember to optimize what programs load up on start up- there’s an option in CCleaner that helps you do this. Enjoy your ‘newer’ computer.
