How a Guy Made $30,000 Per Month Without The Need of a New Idea

Making money is about taking an idea and act on it until you get the success you want. A lot of people failed to make the first move because they are always seeking for the best unique idea. So ask yourself, are you doing the same thing? You have ideas but you do not want to put it into action because you think that your idea might not work and it is too hard to succeed.

Often time, we do not take action because we are always looking for the “perfect” idea. Continuous seeking and thinking makes us lose confident with our own idea. We often think that “Other people already have that idea”, “We need new and unique idea” and etc. If you are thinking like that then this article will proof you wrong.

Facebook is not the first social network; it is just a better and more user-friendly social network. The idea and concept is still the same, the only difference is how Mark Zuckerberg implements it and present it. This is the same for Google; it is not the first search engines. Google simply makes everything simpler, faster and more accurate. That’s it!

An idea remains as idea until it is acted upon!

Have you heard of Silly Bandz? The idea is so simple that every kids love it. Silly Bandz is those small rubber bands with a lot of different designs that a lot of kids love so much. It is as simple as that. Silly Bandz evolved from rubber band.

The business world is so pack with competition that it is hard to find for one idea that is unique and new. Even if you can thin k of great unique idea, you can’t make sure you will become the best in that idea. Some people will take the idea and improve it to turn into a better idea. So, stop thinking and start doing it.

The Story to Make $30,000 a Month

Making $30,000 a month is hard but it is not so hard if you have done it. This story is a true story of Benny Hsu which is rewritten by me after reading his blog.

The idea came about when Benny Hsu is reading Smart Passive Income – a blog about passive income. Smart Passive Income is created by a guy called Pat. Pat and his partner managed to start an iPhone App company without having the knowledge about iPhone apps programming. They simply outsource their work and hire people to do the iPhone apps programming for them. And, they made a lot of money online. It is easy right?

Benny came across Pat’s idea and he imitated the idea to create an iPhone app too. Benny’s apps is known as Photo365 which made him $30,000 in a month.

The Process of a $30,000 per month app

Benny loves photography and he likes to save a photo a day in his calendar. He used and app that help him save one photo a day to his calendar but the apps is not as perfect as expected. He also noticed that the not-so-perfect app the used got tons of reviews and this means that the app got market and it is what users wanted. The problem of the app he is using now is that the app shows only photos of 4 days in a row. Most of us would like to see the photos show up 7 days in a row just like calendar. In addition, Benny knew that there was a-photo-a-day community where people like to share photos of their lives to social media on daily basis. Benny was thinking “I have got idea, I have got thousands of people who want this append so, what is next?”

The Competition in iTunes Store

Benny was clever and a strategic person. He looked into the number of similar apps but he found that the competition was very low. Since he learnt the technique to outsourcer the apps creation from Pat’s blog, now he could start creating the app.

So, he proceeds with his idea and he named his app as Photo365.

Outsourcing the Work

Since he never did this before, so he bought the book recommended by Pat which is written by 2 guys who created a six figure income a year using iPhone apps business and he started doing it just like what the book taught him.

He started posting his job on Elance.com, select the best company to work with and within 6 months, the Photo365 apps is created.

The Photo365 Apps is Live

The cost of building the apps is $2020 and Benny was thinking that he must at least earned back his money invested to create the apps. He told himself, the worst case scenario is that he earn nothing back and take it as a lesson learnt and experience gained.

In the first week, since iTunes store is constantly promoting new apps, Photo365 was featured in the Photography categories. The first 4 days of sales made him $904.29. But after one week, his earning was down to $65.00.

But the good news came along; Photo365 was then featured in “New and Noteworthy” section. This section is super hard to get in as iTunes store only select the best 35 apps among all apps. Benny hit the jackpot! His app was listed as #2 in this section.

The Big Jump in Earnings

His earning jump from $65 to$650 on the first day and it was a constant earning of $1300 after that. That was an incredible income per day!

The Email from iTunes Store

Benny got an email from App store marketing team saying that they liked his apps and would like to have art assets. He only had 19 hours to give them a reply. He searched the Internet for related information and he found one similar case. He found out that this is a rare offer by the Apps Store Marketing team.

Benny phoned up his brother to help him photoshoped the graphic that was wanted by Apple and he sent out the graphic to Apple.

Apps of the Week

On Thursday, he received a message that his app was featured as Apps of the Week! In that week alon, his earnings totaled at $15,000 in sales. Photo365 app was ranked as high as #22 position in the apps store.

The total earnings Benny earned from this app is $33,232.11 in the first 30 days!

The Lesson Learnt

Benny said he learnt an important lesson. It’s About Execution, Not Ideas! A brilliant idea is useless without brilliant execution. So, try to do more instead of think more because doing is what makes thing happen!

It is Your Turn and My Turn

After reading and writing this article myself, I feel that I have to take action on my ideas fast to make thing happen. Often, I have so many ideas but it is the lack of execution that makes nothing happens. So, now it is our turn to make real money fast online.
