Bitter rival with Ctrl + Z.
This hot key does exactly the opposite of Ctrl + Z. It actually comes in handy when you think you made a mistake, but you didn’t and you second guess yourself a couple of times. You see the opposite of undo is do, but to understand you must say “It undoes what I have done to undo.” <– clever huh? ^-^
Ok, so this hot key basically does what you have just said ^ (^ is an arrow). By undoing what you have done to undo you basically are redoing something, but the above statement is just funner to use. I love the expression on peoples faces when they try and make sense of my logic.
This hot key does pretty much just that, there’s no more to explain. Try it out though. Go to a text editor type “Blink” without the quotes. Highlight it and backspace it hold down the Ctrl key and alternate between pressing X and Y while holding the Ctrl key the whole time. ^-^ fun right?
- For Apple computers I believe instead of Ctrl you use the Apple key.
- For Linux or other I have not one ounce of experience with them and I will not try to find out.
- This is for Windows users.
