Programs like Microsoft Word and Windows Easy Transfer are known for including diagnostics in their programs. These diagnostics can be used to determine problems that are causing your programs to act abruptly or in most cases help to fix any issues that may be occurring on a file in use within the program.

If your program doesn’t include diagnostics, you can find the program on your computer. Microsoft includes a number of tools that can help, for example System Restore.

Spyware is like a virus but isn’t a virus. It can be put onto your computer through programs and even files that you transfer on clients like Yahoo! And Windows Live Messenger. Spyware has only one general purpose usually. That purpose is to steal your information and use it without your consent.
