Ever been afraid of blue. Well count yourself lucky because you are bot the only one. Even tech whizzes fear the color blue! Have you ever some blue screen popping on someone Else’s computer when he just turn it on? Well, it means he/she  had seen death. Well not literally but in fact the computer is therefore pronounced useless to say the least. This blue screen is infamously known as “The Blue Screen of Death”. So, what is the so called Blue Screen of Death? It is an error screen displayed after the operation system encountered a serious problem which can cause damage to the computer. They are usually caused by faulty device drivers or hardware. It can also be caused by faulty memory, power supplies overheating of components. The Screen of Death is not unique. Even there was such thing as Black screen of Death and miraculously The Red Screen Of Death in the earlier version of Vista.

So we know what are the causes of the blue screen of death. Now let us see the adverse it has if it ever happens to you! We know that it is caused by a “so called” illegal operation which I think it is fairly wrong to call it illegal though as you may not even have noticed it. The only safe action you or the computer can take is to shut down. And unfortunately, you have to bid farewell to your precious files. Which means all your wonderful moments captured in your photo album will have to be discarded too! So much for the BSOD!

You may just hit the jackpot if you restart the computer after the error and it is working fine. But sometime lady luck has her way…When you see the error in safe mode, chances are that you are having problems with the hardware. Try removing a new component which you have just plugged in and try again. If nothing was installed, then it may be one of your older hard wares. Try removing them and plug them in again. If you think you can’t do it on your own, just ask a technician to do it for you!

However, if this is not the problem, try running the system on safe mode. If you succeed the first thing you need to do is run a full system scan and have a virus check. If there’s nothing fishy, just go on to the system restore utility and go back to the date when you installed some culprit program me.

If nothing works, may god have mercy on you! Copy down the error message and try to search for it on another computer. Good Luck!
