Best of the Best: Desktop Wallpapers

If your tired of your old boring wallpaper, take a look at some of these.

Is your desktop wallpaper a bit…boring? Well, spruce it up a bit! We’ve got cool wallpapers from all over for every taste! Take a look!

Most of these wallpapers are from a personal collection that I’ve accumulated over the past few years. Personally, I like to change my desktop wallpaper at least once a week, most times even more then that. Because I change my wallpaper so frequently, I have a very large amount of wallpapers. The ones that I’ve listed are my favorites, and have been pulled out of a huge collection, making these ones some of the best wallpapers out there.

Because of personal taste, the wallpapers I have submitted here have been broken up into five categories.

The Funn

  1. United Federation of Awesome - A simple background with a large happy face as an emblem. It looks better then it actually sounds though.
  2. Stop, Hammer Time! - Three pictures, side by side, of a stop sign, a hammer, and a clock. Obviously based of MC Hammer.
  3. Joker Parody: Bulbasaur - A picture of the Joker from “The Dark Knight” holding up what most would expect to be a joker card, but its a Pokemon card. This one also is funnier when you see it.
  4. Girls Are Evil - A cartoon like drawing of a deranged young girl pushing a plastic bag over another young boys head with text above reading “Girls are evil.”
  5. Cat Firing Laser - A cat, yawning. Shoop-da-woop! Laser beam being fired from cats mouth.
  6. Emergency Marshmallow - In case of fire, break glass! Usually you see that for fire extinguishers, but this time there’s a marshmallow on a stick.
  7. Darth Vadar Topiary - A green background, with Darth Vadar sculpting the Deathstar on a topiary bush.

The Interesting

  1. Multi-Colored Trippy Goat - Intense colors, strong visuals, and very fun to look at. Definitely an interesting piece.
  2. Protest and Tear Gas - Picture of a protest going on, with a female protester simply sitting cross legged in the midst of tear gas.
  3. Protester Placing Flowers - A protest going on with police holding up riot shields to groups of people, while a young girl places a flower in the shield. The entire thing is black and white, except the flower, making it stand out.
  4. Bizzar Town - A very strange, almost Tim Burton like little city. Definitely take a look, this one is interesting to see even if you don’t use it as a wallpaper.

The Cool

  1. Military Helicopter Hovering - Amazing shot of a military helicopter hovering above a small river, with the water rippling and no blur, this picture is great.
  2. Shot Glass of Fire - A cool edited picture of a shot being poured, and as it reaches the shot glass turns to fire.
  3. Graffiti: “Question Everything” - A worn out tile wall, graffiti all over it, but the one that stands out the most is a the large text “Question Everything.”

The Dark

  1. Intricate View of Death - One of my favorites. I don’t know how to describe it. Take a look, this wallpaper is one of the best I have and is currently my wallpaper.
  2. Evil Soldier Angel - When most see this they think of the soldier from the covers of the “Killzone” games, and I can see why.
  3. London Rubble - Title says it all. Its what London would look like, post nuclear war.
  4. Gasman - A young, scruffy looking kid wearing a gas mask and in a hoodie. Popular wallpaper for those of you that enjoy graffiti.

The Simplistic

  1. Ambient Rainbow Face - A very interesting face, not complete, but more like an outline of a face using almost wave like patterns to make a face.
  2. Large Cat, Small Astronaut - Cool picture of a cat, staring at an astronaut that’s floating in space, only compared to the cat the astronaut is needle sized. Very cool wallpaper.
  3. Day and Night, Live Tree and Dead - A beautiful wallpaper, and another one that I can’t capture in words.
  4. Mushroom Cloud of Water - If fire were water, this is what a nuclear explosion would look like.
  5. Rainbow Equalizer - A very simple picture of an equalizer, with each bar a different color.

Well, that’s all of the great wallpapers for now, but be sure to look out for a volume two, as I always have more wallpapers to share.
