Apple’s CEO: I Am Not “Duplicate” Steve Jobs

CALIFORNIA – Tim Cook, who last year replaced as Apple CEO Steve Jobs revealed tha this view of his predecessor. Cook said he was not trying to be the latest version of the Jobs.

“Steve is a visionary. My role has never been replaced,”said Cook in his first media interview. Quoted by the BBC on Wednesday (5/30/2012), it is conveyed in the annual All Things Digital conference in California.

“I was never trying to be Steve. That’s not who I am and that’s not my purpose in life. I was me and focus on that, and became CEO of Apple is great, “said Cook.

Cook said that Jobs had talked to him about what happened at Disney when Walt Disney died, and how questions that arise from thepeople, “What would Walt do”. Jobs, Cook said, told him not to do so.

“He told me to never do it, but just need to do the right thing,” he said.
