Acer Debuts Tablet & Ultrabook Windows Eight

Taipei, Taiwan – Acer introduced two tablet-based computer operating system Windows eight ahead of the technology exhibition Computex inTaiwan. In addition to the tablet PC, the Taiwanese manufacturer is also presented ultrabook Windows 8.

The first tablet, Iconia W510 brings 10.1-inch screen. These tablets have a separate keyboard for typing but also useful to extend the battery life to 18 hours.

The second tablet called Iconia W700. Specification is quite high as11 inch screen with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. W700 has a dock for mounting accessories so that the tablet can be placed in various positions.

Acer has not revealed the full specifications of the two tablets. To be sure, both are using the Intel Ivy Bridge. Rates in the range of USD 599 W510 and W700 between $ 799 to $ 999. When marketing is also not certain, probably around the end of 2012 this.

Acer also revealed two Windows-based ultrabook Aspire S7 8 in the series. Two models are distinguished by the size of the screen, the 11.6 inch and 13.3 inch. Both carry the touch screen with a tag in the range of USD 999 to USD 1799.

Acer hopes the arrival of Windows 8 could stimulate sluggish PC industry recently. “Windows 8 is a breakthrough and will benefit the end user,” said JT Wang, Acer’s CEO is quoted from PCWorld on Monday (06/04/2012).

Operating system Microsoft Windows 8 is designed to run equally well on the tablet or PC. Inaddition to Acer, the other major manufacturers such as Asus, HP to Samsung are expected to soonintroduce a flagship device using Windows 8.
