Would You Rather Do Without Your iPhone Or Do Without Sex?
If you took a survey by a major tech watcher and were asked if you would rather do without sex than without your iPhone, what would you say?
If you answered that you’d rather forget about sex, you should immediately see check yourself into the nearest psychiatric facility. Yet, 15 percent of respondents who were asked just such a question said they’d give up sex instead of their cell phone.
iPhone Interruptus?
The survey was conducted by Gazelle.com, which buys old iPhones. The company asked 1,000 of its customers a few questions about iPhones and sex.
According to Gazelle about 15 percent of the respondents said they’d rather go without sex than without their iPhones for a weekend. Not so bad if it’s just a weekend. Yet you have to wonder why anyone would even think of answering a question in that manner.
Even worse, the survey found that four percent of lovers reported that they have had their “special” moment interrupted by someone who used the phone during their “special” moment. Can you hear me now?
Facebook VS iPhone
And, what do lovers say when asked about whether they would rather live without Facebook or their iPhone? Well, more bad news for Facebook. Another survey found that when asked which device or platform they would not be able to live without, a majority (65 percent) chose their iPhone, while only a few (one percent) reported not being able to do without Facebook.
And there’s some other news from people who can’t get enough of their tech gadgets:
- About 40 percent of those responding to a survey want a larger screen on their iPhones. More reason to enjoy being interrupted while doing you know what?
- People often get rid of other devices when they get an iPhone, like iPods or mp3 players (70 percent of respondents), cameras (55 percent) and GPS units (40 percent).
And, even more disgusting, only 15 percent of those surveyed say they have not used their phones while in the bathroom. Perhaps, the next time you call a friend you ought first inquire where they are calling from.
