Unable to Start Avast! Firewall? [Solved]

A complete guide on how to start firewall.

hi, are you receiving a message in your avast! user interface “attention, your system is not fully protected”?

i know, that gets you a lot mad after trying to fix this situation again and again. I have been through it, just like you and i am going to tell you how to fix this.

Situation: when i click the “fix now” button the firewall pops up with a message “unable to start firewall/ anything related” or when i click the “turn on” button the firewall pops up a message “unable to start firewall”

why?: it is because the firewall is not able to detect your network, e.g. try looking in your “network connections” bar, do you see any network, if you do then the situation is very different, i prefer you to reboot the firewall.

Solution:

1. reboot/reinstall, how? simply go to control panel >add/remove programs>avast! and click remove. to reinstall simply click in your avast! installation file to install again and follow its instructions.

->if your avast! firewall still dose not work (DO STEP 1 WITH STEP 2, READ FIRST THEN DO IT!)

2. after step 1, your avast will need restart (MAKE SURE YOUR “NETWORK/BROADBAND” IS CONNECTED TO YOUR PC) when it will restart, you will be logging back in your “administrator/or any name” (NOW, WHEN YOU WILL BE  LOGGED IN TO YOUR DESKTOP, PLEASE TRY TO DOUBLE CLICK YOUR ANY “explorer.exe” – “internet”) (THEN QUICKLY TURN OFF YOUR  ”NETWORK/BROADBAND”, AND THEN AFTER 5-10 SECONDS CLOSE EVERY THING “INCLUDING YOUR “explorer.exe”. THEN TURN ON YOUR ”NETWORK/BROADBAND”. AND JUST LEAVE YOUR COMPUTER.

->here you go! you will see you did it quicker before your avast loaded, and when it will load you will see your “system is fully protected” message which includes your firewall ‘ON’ :D . i know this sounds a lot crazy but please do exact like that, i am 100% sure, it will solve this problem, because the firewall needs to detect your network or it will have nothing to do, as a result it will not start.

3. try updating your avast! “Engine and virus definitions” and “programs”.

4. OK, this must solve your problem with avast Firewall. go to avast!>firewall>application rules>(click new group and add the following:

ALWIL software “C:Program FilesAlwil Software”

internet Explorer “C:Program FilesInternet Explorer”

Microsoft corporation “C:WINDOWSmsagent”

sun Microsystems, inc “C:Program FilesSun”

then copy “svchost.exe” to your network connections.

there you go, the firewall is working.

do step 3, and restart your computer, and there you go :D .

Thank you!!, dont worry more steps comming soon and explore this web page!!!

—————–UNFINISHED STEPS——————

Step 5: go to avast!>firewall>network utilities> IP ADRESS DETAILS> type “43594″ then click ‘get details’, a window will pop up and it will load, you will then see a spot then……. GO AND DIE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sorry its so hard to explain this step, but i will be explaining this soon)
