Identity Theft Online

Be careful.

Passwords. Everyone online uses at least one. Keeping them simple and easy to remember is one of the worst things you can do.  It is easy for someone to find your password and steal your identity. Mainly if it is a common dictionary word. These include “Yellow” or “Train”. The best way to make sure your password is kept safe is to use different passwords for every site and use a sentence (Cluely) when creating a password.  (For example, “She looks for her puppy and kitten”, SL4HP&K) This way hackers will not be able to figure out your password. This also makes it possible to easily remember those random numbers and letters making up your password. Another thing to be aware of are clicking on links. Facebook holds many of these evil critters. Some event invites hold virus’s that could infect your computer and steal your passwords. You should always be precautions when clicking on links or images.
